Sliding security gates for doors
In a one-family house in Agios Stefanos, north-east of Athens, in a balcony door with a width of four meters, we installed a Viometaloumin two-piece retractable security gate with double steel blades in white colour, with a 180° degree rotation, so that the owner could enjoy the views from his living-room. The width of each piece of the gate, when it is retracted, is not exceeding that of 40 cm. However it has the possibility of a full rotation, so that it cannot become an obstacle for the owner and his guests.

In Nea Penteli we installed a Viometaloumin retractable security steel gate, externally with an aluminum coating and internally with reinforcement from rotating steel bars, in a colour very similar to that of the shutters. The owner liked so much that optical effect that he made a new order, to protect all the frames of his home.

The door of the case was storey house that had access to a garden. The windows of the house had exposed wooden sliding shutters and interior recessed double sash sliding leafs.
The vacuum of the “Shine” between the wooden shutters and the leafs were 5cm so use of collapsible gate Steel solution was appropriate because the width of the frame does not exceed 4cm in steel folding door.
The construction became two-PLY – without using the hinge for rotation-like the existing frame of leafs and picking up that opening the door left and right does not impede the passage.
The width ‘collects’ the door on the right and left is 23% of the width of the frame by two (because double wing).
The choice of color was customer choice in color Ral-painted in a shade of gray.

The newly built house shown in the photos, had openable windows aluminum double wing leafs and exterior shutters hinged double sash windows and balcony doors quatrefoil.
The owner of the house wanted to lock around all windows, selecting electrostatic paint Ral with the same code that was dyed existing frames.
Applied to doors or swinging gate aluminum profiles and internal reinforcement steel, code T100 and windows has been applied with removable safety bar code with T80. The collapsible gates Aluminium (T100) placed between the leafs and the shutter is single sash and occupy during their opening 23% of the width of the frame.
Windows are removable bars (T80) applied also placed in the space between the leafs and shutters while having the advantage that at any time the owner may remove it for any reason.
Important in this case is that the upper floor, where windows were sleeping and was feared by owners lest their toddlers approach the windows. The gap from bar to bar (12cm) does not allow the passage so that was better for the owners and their choice in the placement of the product in all the windows of the house.
